Cowley House is a specialist residential service for adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, communication and sensory impairments and complex health needs. Service users are supported to develop individualised person centred plans that promote increased choice, control over their lives and independence.
Our experienced team works in partnership with families, carers, advocates and public service professionals to ensure that the support provided is pro-active and appropriate.

We follow an active person centred approach which supports service users to make informed choices, take control of their lives and achieve their planned outcomes.
Our Total Communication culture enables staff to implement individualised communication strategies for service users with severe communication and sensory difficulties.
Service users are supported to develop individually tailored Health Action Plans which focus on supporting people to manage their healthcare needs and increase their independence.
We support service users to choose and take part in activities that develop social, communication and life skills. These range from support in daily life skills such as shopping and household tasks through to college placements, voluntary work experience and paid work placements.
