ABOUT LOCAL CARE HOME - BELGRAVE COURT RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME

Belgrave Court is a residential care home on the south side in Bridlington, 100 yards from the south promenade and Spa Theatre. There are two lounges, a conservatory and large dining room. The home is registered for up to 30 older people. There are twenty-six bedrooms including five shared bedrooms. The rooms are comfortably furnished with wardrobe, dresser, chest of drawers and TV with Freeview.  All bedrooms have en-suite toilet with hand wash basin some have bathrooms. Some of the resident's rooms having the benefit of a sea view. There is assisted bathing available by the staff to help in the seprate bathrooms on each floor. These facilities also include a Spa bath and Wheelchair shower for ease of bathing. There is a 5 person passenger lift to all floors and three stair lifts. The main rooms at the front of the premises look out onto the safe decking area where, in the summer months, residents enjoy sitting out under the parasols or sunning themselves, eating icecream amidst the pots and border of colourful flowers, relaxing in the sea air, happily talikng to other residents or visitors.  There is a comprehensive smoke and fire alarm system approved by the local fire authority and staff are fully trained to deal with an emergency should one arise. Each room is fitted with an easy, large push button call system which alerts staff on their individual pagers if assistance is required by the resident.  There is an in-house Beauty Salon where residents can have their hair done in luxurious surroundings by a professional hairdresser who visits once per week. Manicures are also available as is help with make up etc. to give ladies that extra beauty treatment. A limousine service is available for outings organised by the Home or for those necessary medical appointments at the doctors or hospital. Residents are encouraged to join in wherever possible in our activities organised by the Home's two Activities Persons throughout the week. These are a source of enjoyment.
